         Operating in over 60 countries and having over 430million subscribers worldwide today,Vodafone is the second largest mobile telecommunication service provider on earth,second only to china mobile in both number of subscribers and revenue.The advancement in technology leads to improvement in life hence human needs, the need for all sorts of newly-produced mobile phones,ipads and computers increases everyday due to the improvement in each new version over its previous one.This can be seen in the never ending human demand for iphones,blackberries and ipads which also leads to demand for "an affordable,dependable and easy to use" network providing 'sim card" or "line" as some call it, which brings us to the topic under discussion and the name topping the list "VODAFONE".Being one of the many network providers around the globe and coming second only to the super-populated china owned network provider,china mobile, tells alot about the quality of this great network provider and the favourite of around half a billion people worldwide.And this is just why without sim card there cant be signal for us to make calls,or use the internet to access some of our favourite social media sites and hence the need for a network provider and simply "Vodafone". below i present some ways i believe can help Vodafone boost it's marketing and promote\attract more people to subscribe.
                 The first thing that comes to mind when we talk of marketing is population, then awareness, it isnt surprising that companies like "Apple" and "Coca-Cola" generate alot of revenue compare to others because of their marketing strategies. having a company in highly populated countries increases one's chances of a successful marketing hence alot of profit and satisfaction to one's customers,going by this i believe having a branch in countries like Indonesia,Korea, India and some African countries like Nigeria and South Africa can increase and boost Vodafone's marketing. Ofcourse to achieve that, some kind of awareness must be created among locals in the country,which is why i want to suggest a specific advert\commercial strategy to Vodafone which without any element of doubt will bring them alot of customers.Just imagine this: Since we live in an era when some of the celebrities have more influence on the people than the leaders and an era when one can correctly predict people's chores during the week days and weekend, a commercial consisting of some chosen celebrities will definitely work out for any company irrespective of it's true quality.One such commercial\advert could consist of a high profile musician capable of drawing people's attention like the Korean musician "PSY" who got the attention of close to 1.5billion people on youtube!, some footballer like "David Beckam", some basketballer like"Kobe Bryant",and one popular hollywood actor\actress having very big fan base like "Anne hathaway" or "Ashton kutcher" all of them in one commercial about Vodafone, and the next thing we will learn of will be another record breaking video.Lets not forget that making such commercials can be very expensive but definitely the outcome will be excellent and Vodafone will be the winning one here since these days money is made only with money.
                Another strategy Vodafone can use to create better awareness among people and promote its services is "to bring something new not offered by the rival networks" this one alone can make all the difference and it could be a new "packet" of say messages, internet memory, and minutes, at a fixed amount of money,for certain age group or set of individuals say college\university students, since none of the other networks offers something like that, the college\university students will be compelled to purchase\have that and even advice their fellow friends about it, which from all angles will increase Vodafone's marketing and number of subscribers.
              One other strategy Vodafone can use is becoming sponsors to say some sport teams,which can be football club, basketball, or cricket. Now with Vodafone as the official sponsor of such teams the fans and all other people watching their game will be curious as to who that sponsor is,there by creating awareness among people and definitely a bigger market for that brand. Just imagine Vodafone sponsoring some cricket team in India or south Africa, with their vast population and their love for cricket only God knows how fast and big it will grow.
             Since what most people do during the weekend is either, go to cinema, stadiums, or stay at home and watch tv, providing people with a way to win cinema tickets or tickets to watch their favourite football matches can be a key to creating better awareness among people about Vodafone as well as boosting it's market at same time. I believe with the above mentioned strategies Vodafone can beat China Mobile to the world's biggest' title
